Team gap mapping

Unlike Fit reports, gap mapping doesn't compare any person to the team. It looks at the team alone, to spot OCEAN dimensions where active profiles aren't very diverse.

Generate the mapping

Prerequisite: at least 2 active team members have completed their Big Five questionnaire (a standard deviation requires at least 2 data points).

Steps: 1. From the team's page, click Gap mapping 2. The mapping is calculated instantly from active profiles

How is this calculated?

FitRadarHR calculates the team's average profile as well as the standard deviation per dimension (the same calculation that feeds the Team Fit report). A dimension with a low standard deviation means active members resemble each other on that trait — the team is homogeneous.

No new data is collected: the mapping reuses profiles already completed by team members.

Reading the report

The 5 OCEAN dimensions are always displayed, with a signal:

  • ◎ Homogeneous — active profiles are close on this dimension
  • ◇ Heterogeneous — active profiles are already diverse on this dimension

Avenues to explore for a future hire

For each homogeneous dimension, a dedicated section suggests a line of thinking for an upcoming hire or a team development plan.

These are not recommendations

A homogeneous dimension isn't a problem in itself — it's an observation. FitRadarHR never calculates a "missing" profile to hire; interpretation and decision remain human.

Export

Like other reports, the mapping can be exported to PDF.
